Naked BODY and REFLECTIONS
A work about light reflections for two naked bodies
Darkness. Two bodies illuminated in fragments. Naked Body and Reflections is a study on materiality, perception and form, creating images that appear and disappear in a game of light in darkness across the surface of the body.
With small light sources and reflective material, fractions of the bodies become visible for a short time. With each new illumination, the body gradually folds and unfolds, and reflective material becomes visible in the crease of an elbow, the back of a knee, in between the fingers. The body becomes a canvass for the reflection of the other, as well as a source of reflection that projects on the other.
In Naked Body and Reflections, we create a strong connection between the body and light reflections. Abstract light forms are produced as primitive forms, animated ancestral signs that evoke the myth of creation, across a body brought to the closest primitive form: nakedness.
A performance which tears the viewer out of the everyday hustle and bustle.
